Storytelling

Healing the Wounds of War

Sunday, January 19, 7:30pm

Vietnam veteran Mike Boehm, director of the Madison Quakers humanitarian projects in My Lai, Vietnam, first returned to Vietnam in 1992 and experienced the tremendous capacity of people-to-people projects for building peace and reconciliation. Using slides of his experiences, he will present his projects. Three projects include the My Lai Primary School and Peace Park; a women’s loan fund; and Sisters Meeting Sisters, a program that brings together women from Vietnam, El Salvador and the US to share how they’ve rebuilt their lives and communities after war.
