Who Mentored You?
The Importance of Workplace Mentoring

Monday, January 28, 6pm

with Mary Strasser

In honor of National Mentoring Month, Mary Strasser, Vice President for Community Impact at United Way, first exec. director of One-to-One, & former director of Philadelphia’s Promise: The Alliance for Youth will join with students in the White Dog Cafe’s Mentoring Program, to celebrate our 10th anniversary with the program. Hear from the mentees and staff and learn about how your workplace can set up a mentoring program.

All aspects of the dinner, including food prep, hosting, and serving, will be done by our mentees
along with the White Dog staff. Founded in 1992, our mentoring program with students from the Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Academy at West Philadelphia High School provides workplace experience, community service participation, field trips to purveyors, family farms, restaurants, and cultural activities.
