Sunday Night Film Series

“The Witness”

Sunday, February 9, 6:30pm

This award winning documentary film is hailed by the LA Times as possibly ‘the most important and persuasive film about animals ever made.’ “Witness” is the story of how a macho man from Brooklyn transforms into a vegetarian animal rights advocate. His story also sheds light on atrocities of the fur and meat industry. (43 minutes)

We will be joined by Valerie Trivigno, a member of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and Philadelphia ACTion for Animals (PACT). As an animal rights activist, her main focus is to bring awareness to the public about the needless suffering of so many animals. Through leafleting, organized demos, video showings, letter-writing and public speaking, she hopes to be able to educate many people into choosing to live a more compassionate lifestyle.
