Raw and poetic,In the Heart of America stars two US soldiers in the Kuwaiti desert - one white, one Palestinian - who fall in love. The men wrestle with their passions and demons as the play shifts fluidly between the past and present, reality and spirit world, reminding us that wounded souls never rest.
Afterwards, head to the White Dog for dinner and an exploration of the plays theme - Americas love affair with violence and war. Speakers include award-winning director Seth Rozin, Vietnam Veteran and acclaimed author Bill Ehrhart who will share his war poetry, and a guest from Veterans for Peace. The cast will perform a scene for those unable to attend the matinee.
