Storytelling Finding the Way Home Monday, February 20th, 7:30pm with David Wilson Journalist David Wilson will discuss his personal quest to find answers to America’s racial divide. The 28-year-old African-American, raised in Newark NJ, is at work on a documentary entitled “Meeting David Wilson”, an exploration of his family’s past that leads him to a white man from North Carolina who happens to be a descendant of his ancestors’ slave masters. * * * * * * * Storytelling night provides the opportunity to hear the life stories of a variety of peoples and gives voice to underrepresented groups such as ex-offenders, senior citizens, gays, youth, immigrants and homeless people. They also provide a forum to exchange perspectives at a personal level on experiences such as war, civil rights marches, parenting issues, and illness.
