Natural Connections explores the ideas behind biodiversity, and takes a close-up look at salmon, rainforests, and marine ecosystems as examples. Through clear-cut, intelligent narration and interviews with Harvard's Edward O. Wilson, known as the father of biodiversity; Dr. Robert Paine, who coined the phrase keystone species; and forester Dr. Jerry Franklin, this film will leave you with a profound understanding of why we, as a species, need to live simply so others may simply live.
We will be joined by Thomas Jennings, a volunteer of more than 10 years with the Pennsylvania Chapter of The Nature Conservancy and charter member of their Speakers Bureau. He will discuss local efforts to preserve biodiversity.
(Also see our annual Eco Tour which will visit an eco-friendly business based on using waste efficiently.)
