Jeremy Rifkin, president of the Washington, DC-based Foundation on Economic Trends and internationally acclaimed social critic. He is the author of 16 books on the impact of scientific and technological changes on the economy, the workforce, society, and the environment, including the international bestseller, “The End of Work.” In his newest book, “The Hydrogen Economy: the Creation of the Worldwide Energy Web and the Redistribution of Power on Earth,” Rifkin looks at the next great commercial era in history. He envisions the dawn of a new economy powered by hydrogen that will fundamentally change our political and social institutions.
