Kairys will discuss the historical context of the Supreme Court’s 5-4 Bush vs. Gore decision which handed the presidency to George W. Bush. Professor Kairys litigated the leading race discrimination and harassment case against the FBI, stopped police sweeps of minority neighborhoods in Philadelphia, and represented Dr. Benjamin Spock in a free speech case before the Supreme Court, and in 1996, conceived the City lawsuits against handgun manufacturers. * * * * * * * Table Talk Reservations Table Talks at 6pm include a three course dinner, followed by speaker and discussion from 7:30-9pm. $30 per person, includes tax and gratuity.
