Table Talk Brookings’ Sobering View of Pennsylvania Monday, March 1, 6pm with Donna Cooper A new report released in December examines economic and development trends in Pennsylvania. “Back to Prosperity: A Competitive Agenda for Renewing Pennsylvania,” published by the Center on Urban & Metropolitan Policy of the Brookings Institution, is a ‘tale of decades of poor planning, misdirected funding and shortsighted public policy’ (Phila Inquirer, 12/7/03). A representative of the Brookings Institution has been invited to join us. Cooper, policy director for Governor Rendell, will discuss the report and the state’s dramatic response to the issues raised in it. * * * * * * * Table Talk Reservations Table Talks at 6pm include a three course dinner, followed by speaker and discussion from 7:30-9pm. $35 per person, includes tax and gratuity.
