Carelift International Goes to Uzbekistan
Monday, March 18, 7:30pm
Founded in 1992 by Linda & Jeffrey Gloss, Carelift International, a medical relief organization, relieves the suffering of people in developing countries by addressing issues of health care delivery and patient care. It is currently providing emergency medical assistance to civilian and refugee populations in Uzbekistan. Successful business people, Jeff and Linda Gloss made a decision in 1985 to devote themselves to making a difference, directing their time and resources primarily to volunteer programs ever since. Following a trip to Russia with the Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital in 1990 to help establish the countrys first pediatric care unit, the Glosses were moved to found Carelift International. They will share their story and discuss humanitarian concerns in the Afghanistan region.
