Storytelling

Collateral Damage: Echoes in the Soul

Sunday, March 28, 7:30pm

Women artists of the group, Peace by Piece, including activist Lou Ann Merkle, will present slides and share the stories behind their work, which is being exhibited at the Painted Bride Art Center Feb 6-Mar 20 (230 Vine St.). Ranging from high tech film & photography to the age-old process of reforming elemental sculptures, the body of work challenges us to understand our complicity in and bear witness to those victimized by power. The artists seek to create a ‘vessel of hope,’ urging viewers to find a human connection to the global community.
