In her latest eye-opening book, Born to Buy: The Commercialized Child and the New Consumer Culture, Schor illuminates marketers’ unrelenting exploitation of our youth and the negative consequences of maximizing corporate profits at the expense of our children’s well-being. A sharp observer and critic of American commercialism, Schor has written extensively on Americans’ lifestyles.
