Our 17th annual "The Book and the Cook" Dinner with The Moosewood Collective Thursday, March 29, 5:30 - 11pm (View Moosewood Dinner Menu) For more than 25 years, the Moosewood Restaurant has served delicious natural foods with a vegetarian emphasis from a variety of international, ethnic, and regional cuisines. They are owned and operated by a cooperative of 19 members (The Moosewood Collective) some of whom will join us from Ithaca, NY this evening to celebrate their cookbooks and their cuisine. The evening's menu will include recipes selected from some of Moosewood's cookbooks like Fish Tangine with Chermoula on a bed of Couscous with North African Roasted Vegetables; Thai Vegetable Curry with Fragrant Jasmine Rice studded with Pineapple, Thai Basil and Chilies; Salad of Sesame Baked Tofu with Snowpeas and Almonds; Strawberry-Mango Cobbler; and Chocolate-Hazelnut Semifreddo. You will have the opportunity to meet with the Chefs of the Moosewood Collective while you dine and have them autograph their books, a selection of which will be available that evening in our gift store, The Black Cat. The White Dog plans menus to highlight what is available locally at the time of the meal.
