Edible Landscape and Butterfly Garden

Welcome Spring in the demonstration gardens of the Horticultural Center. We will begin with an interactive presentation on edible landscape design and habitat by Doris Stahl, Horticulture Educator of Penn State Cooperative Extension, and continue with a hands-on composting workshop, installation of educational signage for self-guided tours in each garden, spring planting and more. Participants in the compost workshop will receive a free compost bin.
Directions:
From White Dog Cafe:
Take 33rd Street towards the Zoo until it ends.
Make a quick left and then a right onto 34th Street.
Make a right onto Girard Avenue.
Once across the bridge, make a left onto 33rd Street.
Take 33rd Street to Diamond Drive and make a left.
Go straight through the stop sign at Diamond and Reservoir and pull over on the right hand side of the road. (Randolph Drive)
From 76 East:
Get off Girard Avenue exit.
Make a left onto Girard Avenue.
Once across the bridge, make a left onto 33rd Street.
Take 33rd Street to Diamond Drive and make a left.
Go straight through the stop sign at Diamond and Reservoir and pull over on the right hand side of the road. (Randolph Drive)
