Community Service Days
Edible Landscape Revitalization
Saturday, April 3, 9am - 1pm
Help us revitalize the Edible Landscape, a 25 year old garden demonstrating all that can be grown on a one house vacant lot in the city. The garden is located on the grounds of the Horticultural Center in West Fairmount Park. This service day follows a contest among Philadelphia County Master Gardeners to redesign and enlarge this demonstration garden. We will be installing the winning design including building the beds and paths and planting dozens of spring crops. Doris Stall, director of the Urban Gardening Program will lead us in our work. Materials and instruction provided.
Space is limited. Please call (215) 386-9224 to reserve your place. Rain or Shine. Complimentary lunch will be provided for volunteers.
