A Judicial Indictment of the War on Drugs

Monday, April 8, 6pm

with Judge James P. Gray

Judge James P. Gray is veteran judge for the Superior Court of Orange County, CA. His recent book, Why Our Drug Laws Have Failed and What We Can Do About It, communicates the devastation wrought by a war he has witnessed from the frontlines as a trial judge and federal prosecutor. The views and experiences of more than 40 judges and justices nationwide are cited in this documented indictment of the failure of our drug laws. Practices successfully employed in other countries are offered as alternatives to our present policy. Judge Gray has championed a number of causes throughout his 25-year career, many on behalf of youth. He continues to mobilize community leaders to combat our illegal drug problem.
