An in-depth look at one African nation - Ghana - and its societal response to the presence of AIDS in the country. The film includes interviews with government officials, medical workers, fishermen, sex workers, young people & AIDS victims. The AIDS-related footage is complemented by beautiful images of the Ghanaian lifestyle & natural beauty of Ghana. (46 minutes)
Arthur Whitman is the president of the Ghana Education Project (GEP), a volunteer organization conducting AIDS awareness and education work in partnership with Ghanaian communities. Whitman will speak about the work of the GEP, which produced Ghanalogue, as well as the Africa Partnership Initiative, of which the GEP is the seed organization.
All films begin at 6:30pm, followed by discussion and are free. Films are projected on to a large screen with sound system. Dinner, Bar and Grill and Dessert menus, as well as beverage service will be available before, during, and after the films.
