Freedom Seder

Monday, March 14, 6pm

with Rabbi Rebecca T. Alpert

We will use the traditional songs and symbols of the Seder to explore the universal themes of freedom and renewal.

Rabbi Alpert is the Co-Director of the Women’s Studies Program and Associate Professor of Religion and Women’s Studies at Temple University. Ordained as a rabbi at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in 1976, where she served as dean of students for 10 years, she has taught Jewish Studies at a number of area colleges and is the author of several books, including “Exploring Judaism: A Reconstructionist Approach” (with Jacob Staub), “Voices of the Religious Left,” and “Like Bread on the Seder Plate: Jewish Lesbians and the Transformation of Tradition.”
