Bio-Fuels 101

Meet at the White Dog for coffee, muffins, and a tour of our kitchen, where we’ll collect some used fry-oil and then board a bus to Green Meadow Farm, where Farmer Glen Brendle will show us how he uses waste oil from the White Dog to heat his green houses. Along the way Nadia Adawi will discuss Philadelphia Fry-O-Diesel, a new Philly-based biodeisel research and production company. Colin Huwyler will also be on-site demonstrating how his company, Fossil Free Fuel, converts diesel vehicles to run on fry oil. Learn all about these valuable fuel resources while enjoying a picturesque lunch on the farm.
