Meet at Lancaster and Powelton Avenue traffic island to help UC Green put a fresh face on a public greenspace in Powelton Village. The quaint triangle at the community crossroads of Lancaster and Powelton Avenues will be refreshed with new perennials and ornamental grasses following a plan developed by local landscape architect Steve McCoubrey. This hands-on project will enhance the pedestrian experience and the renovation is supported by the University City District’s Lancaster Avenue corridor improvement program.
UC Green mobilizes University City communities to plant trees, revitalize public greenspaces, and improve block streetscapes to strengthen neighborhood connections and improve the health and quality of life of residents.
