& Dialogue for Peace

with Nava Sonnenschein, founder and former co-director of the School for Peace, Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam and
Sally Baraka, founder of the Philadelphia Muslim Bar Assoc.

For more than 25 years, Jews & Palestinians of Israeli citizenship have lived together in NSWAS (Oasis of Peace), a binational community in Israel working for peace based on a just & equal coexistence. Through its School for Peace, the village works with youth and adults throughout the country to foster dialogue & understanding (see www.nswas.com). NSWAS’s Humanitarian Aid for Palestine Project is providing food & medical support to Palestinian towns and villages, including hospitals in Ramallah & Jenin.

Sonnenschein has trained hundreds in conflict management and is currently working on her Phd on this subject at Hebrew University. She will share thoughts and insights regarding the current conflict.

Sally Baraka, an Arab-American who worked on a joint declaration of local Arabs and Jews sent to President Bush, will present and discuss the document.
