Table Talk Resisting the Engineering of Life Monday, June 6, 6pm with Brian Tokar, director of the Biotechnology Project at the Vermont-based Institute for Social Ecology Genetic engineering and other biotechnologies have become the primary means by which global corporations are taking control over our food, healthcare, and the future of life on earth. With a goal of promoting a critical and dynamic grassroots response, Tokar will discuss the politics of GE food, current pharmaceutical scandals, and many other issues that will be featured at the upcoming Biodemocracy teach-in and festival in Philadelphia, June 18-21, to be attended by ten thousand biotech executives. * * * * * * * Table Talk Reservations Table Talks at 6pm include a three course dinner, followed by speaker and discussion from 7:30-9pm. $38 per person, includes tax and gratuity.
