White Dog Cafe - Sunday Night Film - A Dog's Life

What began as a light-hearted film about one day in the life of Chelsea (a 13 pound Shih Tzu Diva) and her “stage mom” and agent Gayle Kirschenbaum, turned into a story about a single woman's search for love and the unmatchable bond between humans and animals. While filming in downtown New York on September 11th, 2001, Gayle's camera turned on something shocking: the twin towers falling. When a grief-stricken woman asked if she could hold Chelsea for comfort, Gayle realized that her playful companion might have a larger purpose. Soon, Chelsea was certified as a therapy dog, visiting families affected by the World Trade Center attacks as well as patients in hospitals.
