Philadelphia FIGHT joins with the White Dog to welcome these inspiring stories about three women who are living positive HIV+ lives. Speakers will be transgender advocate Jaci Adams, prison health activist Waheedah Shabazz-El, and River Huston, a local writer, comedian, poet, activist and performance educator. Huston has written two books of poetry, Jesus Never Lived Here and The Bones of Susan.

Storytellings

Storytelling night provides the opportunity to hear the life stories of a variety of peoples and gives voice to underrepresented groups such as ex-offenders, senior citizens, gays, youth, immigrants and homeless people. They also provide a forum to exchange perspectives at a personal level on experiences such as war, civil rights marches, parenting issues, and illness.

Reservations highly recommended by calling 215-386-9224. Á la carte dinner 6pm (optional); Storytelling at 7:30. (Preferential seating given to those dining; remaining seats available to those with reservation for storytelling only.) Singles welcome at group tables.
