Storytelling

Songs and Stories of Freedom

Monday, June 16, 7:30pm

with George Lakey, director of Training for Change, which leads workshops in democratic, nonviolent skills for social change around the world. Having personally led over 1,000 workshops on 5 continents, Lakey will share stories and sing-alongs inspired by his activist adventures. Ever since going to jail in the civil rights movement, George has found that singing and activism go hand in hand. Accompanying himself on the piano, he’ll add some Broadway tunes and tell tales from exotic lands.
