Storytelling
Bearing Witness in Palestine
Monday, June 17, 7:30pm
In response to the humanitarian crisis in the Middle East, four local peace and human rights activists traveled to Palestine with the International Solidarity Movement, a group committed to principles of non-violent resistance in the struggle for Palestinian autonomy. In April, Kate Sorensen, longtime human rights activist and member of Act Up, Shira Et Shalom, a Jewish-American and AbdulHakim, a Muslim-American visited Bethlehems Azza Refugee camp. American-born Palestinian and peace activist Ribhi Mustafa, who still has many family members in Palestine, traveled to the outskirts of Bethlehem to visit the Aida refugee camp. They will share stories from their trip and continued work for peace, justice and non-violence.
