School Garden Tours Meet at the White Dog for Muffins before leaving at 10am by Trolley with our tour leader Danny Gerber, Co-Director of the Urban Nutrition Initiative. UNI is a nationally recognized nutrition education program that involves children from West Philadelphia in a school-based community health curriculum that strives to improve nutritional status and promote active learning. We will visit 3 school gardens plus a youth-run stand at the Powelton Farmers Market selling garden grown products. High school students and UNI staff members will show us their work and public school teachers involved in the program will join us for a lunch discussion at the White Dog following the tour. * * * * * * *
