Reflecting: Life = The Cost of a Movie and a Bag of Popcorn
Wednesday, June 26th, 8 am
with Dr. Alan Berkman, HIV Center at Columbia University School of Medicine
Recently researchers have tried to determine how much money would be needed to make a real difference to the AIDS epidemic in Africa, and it is clear that scaling up the response to Africa's epidemic is not only imperative but it is affordable. For the cost of a movie and a bag of popcorn for each person in the developed world the full cost of treatment for the whole of sub-Saharan Africa could be covered.
