AIDS Education Month Breakfast Talk Series “Stopping the Epidemic” Wednesday, June 27th, 8 am with Dr. David Metzger, Director of AIDS Research, Center for Studies of Addictions, and Casey Cook, Executive Director, Prevention Point Philadelphia People get infected with HIV through intravenous drug use. In the US, 35% of people with AIDS (30% in Philadelphia) identify I.V. drug use as a risk factor. Needle exchange programs work to prevent this.
