Eyes In Iraq
Monday, July 7, 7:30pm
What really happened in Iraq? Shane Claiborne is a Christian Peacemaker who returned from Baghdad on April 1 after spending three weeks in Iraq with the Voices in the Wilderness. Shane will bring photographs, fragments from the bombings, audio footage and stories from witnessing the first 10 days of the US-led military bombardment of Baghdad. Claiborne is a graduate of Eastern University, attended Princeton Theological Seminary, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Christian Community Development Association. Shane has lived in North Philadelphia for the past 5 years and is a co-founder of The Simple Way, a prominent community dedicated to economic and social justice. He will share his perspective on the current situation in Iraq and what we can do in our own lives to foster peace.
