White Dog Cafe - Neighborhood Gardens Tour

Meet at the White Dog Cafe for coffee & muffins at 8:30am then board a motorized trolley at 9am for a 3 hour tour of some of Philadelphia’s most vital community gardens lead by Terry Mushovic, Executive Director of Neighborhood Gardens Association. The Neighborhood Gardens Association/A Philadelphia Land Trust is a private, nonprofi t urban land trust founded in 1986 to ensure the continuity and long-term preservation of community gardens and green spaces in Philadelphia neighborhoods. We will visit several of the larger land trust gardens, including stops at Aspen Farms in West Philadelphia, Glenwood Green Acres in North Philadelphia, and Southwark Queen Village in South Philadelphia, and return to the White Dog for lunch and conversation.
