Table Talk Patient Power: Taking Control of Your Health Care Monday, July 15, 6pm with Dr. Marie Savard, Dr. Marie Savard is an internist, women’s health expert and patients’ rights advocate. Believing that we can and should take responsibility for our own health care, Savard is forcing both patients and doctors to give up the myth that the doctor always knows best. She is the author of “How to Save Your Own Life: The Savard System for Managing - and Controlling - Your Health Care” and “The Savard Health Record: A Six-Step System for Managing Your Health Care.” She has served as director of the Center for Women’s Health and as vice chair of the PA Commission on Women. She recently joined Medical Broadcasting Company to assist in patient education and empowerment programs. * * * * * * * Table Talk Reservations Table Talks at 6pm include a three course dinner, followed by speaker and discussion from 7:30-9pm. $30 per person, includes tax and gratuity. Cash bar. Senior citizens (over 65) and full-time students $25 with advance notification.
