Biodiesel and WVO Tour

Saturday, November 10, 8:30am - 2:30pm

Whether your concern is to reduce your contribution to global warming, cut fuel costs, reduce waste, find alternatives to oil consumption, or social justice issues, vegetable-based fuel may be of interest to you.
Steve Richter, a biodiesel home brewer and consultant, and Fred Burgess, who has created nearly 50 “flex-fueled” vehicles capable of operating on diesel or vegetable oil at the flip of a switch, will be answering common questions such as: What is WVO? How can a diesel car be converted to run on WVO as fuel? What is the difference between WVO and Biodiesel? What is biodiesel? How is biodiesel made? How does a vehicle run on biodiesel? Who is producing biodiesel locally? Then he will demonstrate biodiesel production, and WVO car conversions as a part of our day’s lesson, followed by a visit to two biodiesel brewers, with a tour of their production facilities.

$45 includes: tax & gratuity, muffins and coffee, transportation, and a 2-course lunch. Reservations
required with advance payment. Call 215-386-9224.
