Join us to launch Powel School Garden's first true growing season. In addition to spring clean-up, we'll be planting trees, building picnic tables and planting an edible landscape at the school's front entrance.
We will be working with members of the school community and the Urban Nutrition Initiative (UNI). UNI is a university community partnership that engages k-12 learners in a problem solving curriculum that strives to improve community nutrition and wellness. Through school gardens students learn how to grow, cook and sell healthy foods as well as how to compost food waste to build healthy soil
A complimentary White Dog picnic lunch will be provided for all volunteers. Space is limited, so please make reservations by calling 215-386-9224.
