Meet at Belmont Grove Picnic Area, Fairmount Park

While enjoying a special White Dog buffet dinner, we will hear about proposed Park improvements, including the new Centennial District stretching from the Philadelphia. Zoo to the Mann Center, and of possible changes in governance of the City’s park system. A short walk in one of the most beautiful parts of the Park will include a visit to a historic home which has been creatively reused. We will be joined by Lauren Bornfriend, Executive Director of the Philadelphia Parks Alliance, and Bob Thomas, whose architectural firm, Campbell Thomas & Co., has performed historic preservation work and planning for Park projects.
