Meet at the White Dog Cafe at 9:30 am for coffee & scones. We will leave the cafe at 10:00 am for a tour by motorized trolley of outstanding gardens
and public landscapes, guided by Flossie Narducci, Program Event Manager at the PA Horticultural Society. We will return to the White Dog Cafe at 12:00 pm for brunch.
Community gardens and public landscape projects are a branch of Philadelphia Green, the community outreach program of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, which assists neighborhoods in utilizing vacant lots and beautifying the urban landscape.
We will visit a number of gardens and public landscapes in various Philadelphia neighborhoods. During brunch at the White Dog, Flossie will discuss the work of Philadelphia Green with community gardeners and parks groups, and current and proposed public landscape projects.
