Save the Magic Garden: For more than 30 years, mosaic artist Isaiah Zagar has been using broken mirrors, bicycle wheels, bottles, tiles and ceramic objects to embellish Philadelphia including the Painted Bride Art Center, and a number of interior spaces. After meeting at the Cafe for coffee & muffins, we will travel to the landmark Magic Garden, Zagar’s sculptural environment on South St., to tour it and a number of his works inside and out by foot. He considers the Magic Garden to be the keystone of his extensive outdoor art museum but it is threatened with destruction.
