This is the season for heirloom tomatoes, and with an increasing demand, our local farmers are growing many varieties such as Striped German, Black Prince & Cherokee Purple.
Meet at the Fair Food Farmstand, located in center court of the Reading Terminal Market, for everyone to pick out tomatoes from an assortment of heirloom varieties. We will then proceed to the Fosters Gourmet Kitchen where Organic Planet chef Lindsay Gilmour will lead a workshop on how to prepare & preserve Whole Tomatoes, Roasted Tomatoes, & Tomato Sauce.
