The Drug War Reality Tour
Monday, September 26, 7:30 pm
The 'Drug War Reality Tour,' a film by the Sundance Award-winning Guerrilla News Network (GNN), documents the Kensington Welfare Rights Union's groundbreaking work to expose the impact of the drug war on the poor. The film follows busloads of tourists to the battlefield of America's own domestic drug war, showing them every aspect of the drug game - from where the dope arrives to where it is sold and used. The discussion will be led by Arun Prabhakaran and Heather Wertz, who work with KWRU. They will talk about the latest initiatives to counter the drug war in the neighborhoods of Philadelphia.
