"Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism

Sunday, October 10, 6:30pm

This film provides an in-depth look at Fox News and the dangers of ever-enlarging corporations taking control of the public’s right to know. The film explores Rupert Murdoch’s burgeoning kingdom and the impact on society when a broad swath of media is controlled by one person. This documentary includes interviews with former Fox employees who talk about how they were forced to push a “right-wing” point of view or risk their jobs. (77 mins)

Discussion led by Pete Tridish and Jay Sand. Tridish is technical director for Prometheus Radio Project, the organization that was the lead plaintiff in the lawsuit to stop the FCC from allowing massive consolidation of media ownership. Jay Sand will join us from the Philadelphia Independent Media Center, a collective of independent media democracy activists, linked globally to create a non-corporate media movement.
