Nina Smith, Executive Director of Rugmark, has been a fair trade advocate for over a decade in both the rug & crafts industry. She will discuss child labor issues in the rug and craft industries worldwide. Rugmark is an international nonprofit that works to end child labor through monitoring the rug industry and educating consumers.

The dinner follows a 6:30pm lecture at International House of Philadelphia (3701 Chestnut St - 215-387-5125) with Stephanie Odegard, founder of Odegard Carpets. Through her business, Odegard has connected contemporary design, traditional techniques & Tibetan artisans to the world market. She will showcase how socially responsible business can both be commercially profitable & raise the standard of living for those involved.

$40 includes both the 3-course dinner discussion at 8pm and the preceding 6:30pm lecture at International House. (Students and Seniors - $32 for both lecture and dinner discussion)

Or attend the dinner discussion only for $35. Tax & tip included for all prices.
