Art in Jail Tour to Graterford

Saturday, November 6, 10am

Meet Jane Golden, Director of the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, at Graterford for a tour of her latest project - bringing art to the prisons. For the past two years, Jane has been working with prisoners in the State Correctional Institute at Graterford to create uplifting, inspiring and meaningful murals with artist-prisoners. Along with Jane and muralist Cesar Viveros-Herrera, we will tour Graterford to view their work and to talk with some of the artists/inmates on how participating in the program has changed them.

After our visit, we will caravan to nearby Central Perkiomen Valley Park for a White Dog lunch & discussion.
