Table Talk Blood & Oil: The Consequences of US Petroleum Dependency Monday, November 21, 6pm with Michael Klare Director of the Five College Program in Peace and World Security Studies at Hampshire College in Amherst, and defense analyst for “The Nation” and NPR, Klare authored numerous books, including Resource Wars, Low Intensity Warfare, and Blood and Oil: The Dangers and Consequences of America’s Growing Dependency on Imported Petroleum. An international security expert, Klare traces oil’s impact on foreign affairs from World War II to the present, and argues that America will continue to pay for oil with blood if we do not change our energy policies. * * * * * * * Table Talk Reservations Table Talks at 6pm include a three course dinner, followed by speaker and discussion from 7:30-9pm. $38 per person, includes tax and gratuity.
