Table Talk

Giving with Purpose

with Rosalee Sinn, Sean Sheehan
and Leah Kaplan

Monday, December 1, 6pm

Join Rosalee Sinn and Umaru Sule from Heifer International, Sean Sheehan from the Center for a New American Dream (CNAD) and Leah Kaplan from The Crafts Center to learn about their innovative organizations and ways to give gifts this holiday season that are socially-conscious and creative.

Sinn, 1989 recipient of the Pearl S. Buck Woman’s Award, has been with Heifer for 37 years and has visited more than 25 countries. She will share remarkable stories of how Heifer’s gift program changes people’s lives and helps them become self-reliant. She will be joined by a former Heifer recipient, Umaru Sule from Cameroon. Sheehan will discuss CNAD’s initiatives to reduce consumption and enhance quality of life, including their guide to simplifying the holidays. Kaplan, former Executive Director and current board member of Washington, D.C. based Crafts Center, will highlight programs that improve the lives of low-income artisans around the world by helping them to develop sustainable enterprises.

Guest at this Table Talk will receive 20% off the Black Cat’s “Whole World Products - promoting an inclusive & sustainable economy” 4-10pm Dec 1.
