Working with the Common Ground Collective, we will participate in a variety of volunteer activities, including house cleaning and repair, food and supply distribution, medical & legal aid, and clerical support. We will try to match activities to individuals’ skills and interests. We will meet with residents, activists, and service providers to understand firsthand the stories and issues around the disaster and the reconstruction efforts. We will also have time to relax and experience the delights of traditional New Orleans food and culture.
