One of the most Vegan and Vegetarian-friendly menus among all Main Line restaurants
People love to eat at Main Line restaurants, but one problem vegetarians and vegans sometimes face is finding a restaurant that provides a lot of tasty, healthy choices that fit their lifestyle. Enter White Dog Café—we’ve got more choices than you can imagine.
White Dog is the first sustainable restaurant in Philadelphia, using local organic ingredients in the majority of our dishes. We believe in buying local and supporting our larger community, as well as incorporate lots of nutritious options into our menu that don’t include meat and other animal products. We believe vegetarians and vegans should be able to eat the way they want to at Main Line Restaurants.
Fresh is always best, and our customers enjoy a variety of healthy soups, salads, pastas, sandwiches, omelets and succulent side dishes. Think you have to compromise when visiting Main Line restaurants? Not when you come to the White Dog Café.
For your first course, you can start off with our famous antipasti with seasonal jams and accompaniments, local artisanal cheese, our signature heirloom tomato gazpacho that comes alive with true leaf Genovese micro basil and garlic brioche croutons, and—for pescetarians—Point Judith calamari with sesame seeds, pickled carrots, cilantro and more.
Vegetarians and vegans often get bored with the same old salad options at gourmet restaurants, but at White Dog Café our salads coalesce unexpected ingredients that deliver an exciting plate of leafy goodness. You’ll find choices that are as fresh as you’ll find among any Main Line restaurants. Try an organic beet salad with herb crème fraiche, Shellbark Hollow goat cheese and polenta croutons. There’s also a tomato salad featuring Green Meadow Farm rainbow tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, kalamata olives and basil pesto.
Pasta lovers can go veggie at the White Dog with delicious gnocchi that includes garden vegetables, tomato confit, local herbs and mixed olives, and our hearty ravioli with lanchego cheese filling and shaved fennel and covered with Kennett Square mushroom ragu.
Sandwiches and entrees we offer to vegetarian and vegan guests looking for meatless meals in Main Line restaurants include our popular tomato carprese sandwich that’s loaded with sliced heirloom tomatoes, DiBruno Bros. mozzarella cheese and baby arugula and comes with a side of mixed greens and a brioche roll.
An especially popular entrée is the eggplant rollatini, which includes Natural by Nature ricotta, spinach, roasted garlic, smoked mozzarella and tangy tomato sauce.
Remember that our menu changes with the seasons, as nature intended! Check in frequently to view new menu items.
